Where are you based?

We are based near Blackburn, Lancashire, UK

How do I get to you?

​

We are accessible by car, train or bus. Parking by us is free and plentiful and instructions on where to park are provided in our pre-experience information pack. We are also served by three well connected train stations and two well connected bus stations.

Bus stations: Accrington, Blackburn

What is your shuttle service?

​

We offer a shuttle service from any of the three nominated train stations or any of the two nominated bus stations free of charge (limited to two people) and this must be booked by way of our contact form when booking a private experience.

What games are available for me to play for my private experience?

​

All games that we play within our current season downloads are available to play, although you are also welcome to make up your own if you wish (just please let us know your ideas ahead of time). 

​

Current season games are:

- Chained escape (Tank based) - You'll be chained inside the tank and have 7 minutes work out the riddles for the padlocks to escape

- Keyed (Tank based) - You'll be handcuffed inside the tank and have 2 minutes to work out a riddle to get the key box to drop. You'll then have a further 4 riddles for the code for the key box and then 60 seconds to remove the handcuffs and escape

- Tank Roulette (Tank based) - You'll have 40 general knowledge questions to answer. If you get one correct we'll move on, if you get one wrong you'll pick a number, one of which will activate the tank

- Colour code (Vat based) - You'll work out 10 puzzles and identify the colour as the answer. Get more than 3 wrong, you're going in!
- Chain link (Vat based) - You'll have to work out the numbers for the four padlocks forming the chain link in front of you, if you can't undo all four locks within the seven minutes, the conveyor will dunk you in the goop!

- Code (Vat based) - You'll be dropped in the vat and have seven minutes to work out the codes above you using the balls in the vat. If you fail to undo the chain in time, the overhead will open making you even messier

- Ballsorts (Vat based) - You'll be dunked into the vat and have seven minutes to sort out the balls into coloured piles and any numbered or lettered balls into the suspended box. Sounds easy? Did we forget to mention that you can't use your hands for any of this...

-Tosser (Vat based) - A simple but surprisingly challenging game. Simply throw 4 of the 6 balls into the little tub in front of you. If you fail, you'll be following the balls into the goop vat! 

- What am I (Vat based) - You'll have to work out a pre-determined object using only 10 yes or no questions. If you don;t work out the object... well... you can guess what happens!

How do games work on a two player experience?

​

We do a mix of head to head games and team games on a two player. Ordinarily, at the start of the session we will flip a coin to decide who is player 1 and who is player 2 (player 2 has the advantage).

We then go on to do our two tank head to head games (ordinarily chain link, but this can be changed if desired), where player 1 will take on the game and player 2 will watch. The advantage is that player 2 has already heard the clues for their game when they then take it on. We then go on to do two more quiz based games, the first of which consists of a timer being set, and players swapping if the player in the tank gets a question correct (if they get a question incorrect, they stay in the tank until they get a correct answer). The player who is sat in the tank when the time runs out gets gunged. We will then play the final tank game of the session and this consists of tank roulette. It is a similar set up to the single player version above, but again if a question is answered correctly, the players will swap. The jeopardy here is that if a question is answered incorrectly, the player will pick a number... would you be the kind of player to answer correctly to get out of the tank or deliberately answer incorrectly to get rid of a few of the numbers in the hope your rival gets the danger number?

We then move on to the vat games, and again, the to players ordinarily play individual games of tosser (this gets surprisingly competitive with two players). Once the two solo dunks are done and out of the way, both players get dunked in the vat together to play code, and then for the final vat element both players get dunked again to play ballsorts (this gets very interesting with two players)!

How do I book extras for my private experience?

​

Extras can be booked once the experience tier has been booked and paid for. Please note that all extras must be booked and paid for in full at least 14 days in advance of your experience date. To book, simply use our contact form and we will take payment for approved additional requests via invoice. 'Extras' refer to additional gunge tanking's and gunge dunks.

Do you have shower facilities?

​

Yes, we have a great shower (as is frequently commented on), for your use throughout and at the end of the experience. We will give you a towel to use between your games so you can use your own, fresh towel for your final shower. We do encourage you to bring your own toiletries (soap and shampoo) mainly for allergy reasons.

Can I bring a friend?

​

The maximum number of people we can permit in any experience is two. This is so we can work safely in the space we have and is strictly non negotiable sorry :(

If you wish to bring a friend to get gunged as a surprise, you are also more than welcome to but please note if they refuse, we are unable to offer any refunds. Consent forms are required to be signed prior to an experience commencing.

Can I choose the colour of the gunge / what colour will be in the vat?

​

We do allow those who book an experience with us to choose which colour they get gunged with for our tank games however we are unable to offer this as an option for the vat (it is simply too big to allow this as an option and keep the price affordable!). We can however if you wish 'surface' the vat with the gunge from your tanking's which will give the traditional 'marble' effect on the surface. We do however, allow you to choose the colour of the vat overhead drop for certain experiences.

We are unable to guarantee any colour for the vat as this will change with shoots (e.g. seasonal shoots etc)...

Is the gunge in the vat cold?

​

We aim to keep it within a reasonably comfortable temperature and will of course top up the vat with extra hot gunge to warm the vat through prior to your dunkings. We will always keep the vat above 22*C, which is around the temperature of a luke-warm swimming pool.

Can I have my experience filmed?

​

It is a condition of a private experience that there is no filming on the day and we will require you to leave any recording equipment (including phones) in a secure location outside of the gunge room. We can however, take stills from your shoots which will be approved by use for your own personal use (for publishing on your social media etc). For clarification, we do not use any media from our private experiences in any way, and prohibit the commercialisation of any media from our private experiences by any party. (The advert? Those are our paid, consenting models doing the exact same things that makes up our experience) ;)
